Integration
Directify
Publish AI-written blog articles straight to your Directify directory website. Native scheduling, categories, featured images, and full SEO metadata through the Directify API.
Content for directory websites
Directify is a no-code builder for directory websites: local business directories, SaaS tool lists, niche resource hubs, and more. Every directory ships with a built-in blog, and that blog is where directory sites win long-tail search traffic.
Publish Owl connects directly to the Directify API with a personal access token. Your workflows research, write, illustrate, and interlink articles, then push them to the directory's blog as drafts, published posts, or scheduled posts that go live on their own.
Unlike daily-sync integrations, articles land on your directory the moment a workflow finishes, so drip schedules and content refreshes apply immediately.
Supported Features
- Publish, draft, or schedule articles
- Featured image with alt text
- Custom slug configuration
- Blog categories (created automatically)
- SEO title, description, and keywords
- Open Graph and Twitter card metadata
- Canonical URL setting
- Inline JSON-LD schema markup
- Content refresh and rescheduling
Setup
Two-minute connection
Generate an API token
In your Directify dashboard open Settings → API, click the key icon, and generate a new personal access token. Copy it.
Add a Directify site in Publish Owl
Go to Sites → Add Site, choose Directify, and paste the token. Click Load Directories and pick the directory whose blog you want to publish to.
Connect a workflow
Select the Directify site in any workflow's Publishing settings. Choose draft or publish, set a drip schedule, and add default blog categories.
Run it
Every article the workflow produces appears on your directory's blog with its featured image, SEO metadata, and categories already in place.
Scheduling
Native scheduled publishing
Directify honours a future publish date on active articles, so Publish Owl's drip publishing works without any workaround. Generate a batch of fifty articles today and have them appear one per day for the next seven weeks.
Need to move a post? Reschedule it from the Publish Owl calendar and the new date is written straight back to Directify.

What is Publish Owl?
AI workflows that think like a content team
Publish Owl orchestrates multiple AI models in sequence, where each step builds on the previous. Just like a content team where researchers hand off to writers, who hand off to editors.
You define the workflow once, then run it with any keyword or data source. The platform handles everything from initial research to final publication on your CMS of choice.
Use your own API keys for complete cost control. No middleman markup, no hidden fees. Just direct access to the AI providers you choose.
Configure every detail: prompts, style guides, AI provider, image generation, and more. Save it once, reuse it endlessly.
Feed keywords, CSV data, or Google Sheets. Each input produces an article based on your agent's settings.
Articles go directly to WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, and other supported platforms with optional scheduling and drip publishing.
Why BYOK?
Skip the hidden markup
Most AI content platforms meter your usage behind subscription tiers. What costs them pennies in API calls gets marked up 10-50x before it reaches you through article limits and pricing tiers.
Publish Owl uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model. You connect your own API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or others, and pay the AI providers directly at their rates.
No middleman. No hidden fees. No surprise bills. Just transparent, direct API costs that you control.
