Open-source headless CMS

Strapi is the leading open-source headless CMS. Self-host it on your own infrastructure or use Strapi Cloud for managed hosting. Either way, Publish Owl connects seamlessly via the REST API.

Configure your own content types with exactly the fields you need. Strapi's flexibility is its superpower. Publish Owl adapts to your schema with customizable field mapping.

Perfect for developers who want full control over their content architecture while still benefiting from AI-powered content automation.

Supported Features

  • Any content type support
  • Custom field mapping
  • Publish or draft status
  • Custom slug field
  • Featured image URL field

  • Deploy hook triggers
  • Self-hosted or Cloud

Setup

Connect your instance

1

Ensure Public Access

Your Strapi instance must be publicly accessible (localhost won't work). Use Strapi Cloud, ngrok, or deploy it to a server.

2

Create API Token

In Strapi admin, go to Settings → API Tokens → Create new API Token with Full access or custom permissions.

3

Configure Content Type

Enter your content type's pluralized API name (e.g., 'articles') and map the title, content, slug, and optional featured image URL fields.

4

Optional: Deploy Hook

Add a Vercel or Netlify deploy hook URL to automatically trigger a rebuild after publishing new content.

Flexibility

Your schema, your rules

Unlike rigid blogging platforms, Strapi lets you define exactly the content structure you need. Article, Post, News, Tutorial: call it whatever you want and include whatever fields make sense.

Publish Owl adapts to your schema. Just tell it which fields to populate and it handles the rest.

Example Field Mapping

  • Content type - articles
  • Title field - title
  • Content field - content
  • Slug field - slug
  • Image field - featured_image_url (text field)

What is Publish Owl?

AI workflows that think like a content team

Publish Owl orchestrates multiple AI models in sequence, where each step builds on the previous. Just like a content team where researchers hand off to writers, who hand off to editors.

You define the workflow once, then run it with any keyword or data source. The platform handles everything from initial research to final publication on your CMS of choice.

Use your own API keys for complete cost control. No middleman markup, no hidden fees. Just direct access to the AI providers you choose.

Define Once

Configure every detail: prompts, style guides, AI provider, image generation, and more. Save it once, reuse it endlessly.

Run With Any Input

Feed keywords, CSV data, or Google Sheets. Each input produces an article based on your agent's settings.

Publish Automatically

Articles go directly to WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, and other supported platforms with optional scheduling and drip publishing.

Why BYOK?

Skip the hidden markup

Most AI content platforms meter your usage behind subscription tiers. What costs them pennies in API calls gets marked up 10-50x before it reaches you through article limits and pricing tiers.

Publish Owl uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model. You connect your own API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or others, and pay the AI providers directly at their rates.

No middleman. No hidden fees. No surprise bills. Just transparent, direct API costs that you control.
